Reason(s): There is a restroom just a few steps away with a changing table. The changing table is safer for your baby, and easier to use for you. People don't want to smell whatever just came out of your baby as they come into the store, nor do they think a poo smeared bottom is cute. There is no place to toss the wipes after you use them, and placing them on the bench just means you are leaving fecal traces on a place where others will sit...this is not nice.
The bench is for people to sit on and you are taking up the whole bench with your baby and the baby changing necessities. This is also, not nice.
